Description
This reserve series Malbec is aged in oak for six months, giving it its full, powerful flavor. The winemaker at Alma Andina creates a captivating wine with the Malbec grape, partly by using American and French barrels. The grapes are sourced from Mendoza, where the vineyards in this region are located at high altitude. This gives the grapes a high degree of refinement. Previously, the focus in this region was primarily on affordable wines, but since the 1990s, the focus has shifted to quality wines. The high altitude combined with cool nights allows the grapes to ripen for a long time. This gives the grapes ample time to develop their wonderful qualities. This results in powerful and distinctive wines from this Argentinian region.
The flagship Malbec
This white wine comes from the premium range of the Argentinian winery Peñaflor. This range focuses on the Andean terroir. The name Alma Andina literally means "The Soul of the Andes." It capitalizes on the altitude and diverse terroirs of the Andes, resulting in a range of surprising wines at an affordable price. Malbec is undoubtedly Argentina's flagship wine. Nearly forty percent of all red wines are Malbec, and 22 percent of the planted grapes are Malbec. A remarkably high percentage, which is easily explained. This wine, with its beautiful aromas combined with velvety tannins, also deserves a world-class reputation. The unique character of Alma Andina Reserve Malbec
Premium fruit from Mendoza's Uco Valley, a wine paradise home to some of the world's highest vineyards. Abundant sunshine, exhilaratingly cool nights, and irrigation from fresh Andean snowmelt all contribute to the production of perfectly ripe grapes. The deep ruby color hints at the powerful red and black fruit flavors you'll discover in the glass: mulberry, cherry, raspberry, and more. Layers of smoky spice and warm vanilla envelop the concentrated core, thanks to six months of aging in fine French and American oak. This Malbec's fruity character, combined with its soft tannins, makes it a delightful companion for a more spicy dish, but it also pairs surprisingly well with grilled fish or white meat.Product details
