Description
Malbec is Argentina's flagship grape, and Luján de Cuyo is known as the appellation where it reaches its peak development. Malbec arrived in this region over a century ago, and Altos del Condor is taking full advantage of this. Thanks to the perfect conditions, it creates a delicate wine full of rich flavors.
The qualitative style of Altos del Condor
Altos del Condor is a series of wines produced by Peñaflor. These are accessible wines inspired by the beauty of the Andes. Each wine in this series has a fruity and juicy style. The winery owns over 6,000 hectares of vineyards. Grupo Peñaflor is an Argentinian company founded in 1904 by a family of Italian immigrants with the goal of producing table wines and other non-alcoholic beverages. In the late 1990s, Grupo Peñaflor changed its focus and decided to specialize in fine wines. The grapes are planted in ancient, sandy, and highly permeable soils of volcanic origin. This, combined with the fresh breeze that blows through the vineyards at sunset, makes this region unique and perfectly suited to wine growing. The Malbec grapes come from various vineyards in the Cuyo region and are harvested entirely by hand at peak ripeness. The grapes are rigorously selected and destemmed in the winery. This is followed by a cold maceration with the skins. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 15 days.Enjoy a soft and fruity Malbec
The Malbec shimmers purple-red in the glass. The nose is primarily fruity, a mix of cherries, currants, and cherries. Some notes of fire and a subtle cocoa accent. Very simple, yet stylish for a young Malbec, and the intensity is reasonable. The palate is round and smooth with plenty of fruit, soft tannins, and a hint of pepper on the finish.Product details
