Just this beautiful wine alone is enough to overwhelm us. The sun suddenly bursts into view as this bottle is placed on the table during one of our tastings. Crisp, fresh, and exceptionally appealing. We can hardly wait to discover Alycastre Porquerolles Rosé.
Porquerolles Rose from Provence
Alycastre Porquerolles Rosé hails from perhaps the most authoritative wine region for rosé wines. We're talking, of course, about Provence. This southern French region isn't just a favorite destination for thousands of tourists; the world's best winemakers also seem to flock here. Henri Vidal, who founded the Domaine de la Courtade winery in the mid-1980s, saw this too. He wanted to produce the very best wines. He hired the acclaimed winemaker Edouard Carmignac and began working in the vineyards of Provence.
Edouard Carmignac remains the winemaker to this day. Aided by the perfect vineyards, whose terroir features sand, limestone, and clay, he creates the finest wines. The Porquerolles wines, in particular, are becoming increasingly popular. We're big fans of this Alycastre Porquerolles Rosé because it's a bit fresher than its older sibling. Moreover, the winemaker has truly put his heart and soul into this rosé. The Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Mourvedre, and Rolle, typical Provence varieties, complement each other beautifully thanks to their near-perfect blending.
The smell and taste Alycastre Porquerolles Rose
When we taste Alycastre Porquerolles Rosé, a parade of aromas and flavors unfolds. A truly beautiful glass of wine that perfectly embodies the Mediterranean lifestyle. We are spoiled by intense summer fruits like strawberries and raspberries. But it has so much more, thanks to the addition of the Rolle. Think soft peach, generous lychee, and crisp lime. The crisp minerals create enough tension on the finish, so you can't wait for another sip.
