Amarone wines have become the hallmark of Northern Italy. No wine connoisseur will turn down a glass of Amarone. The unique production process, in particular, makes these wines so popular worldwide. Fortunately, Cielo now offers an Amarone Riserva; a slightly more extensive selection than the classic Amarone. And with Cielo as a producer, you know you're getting exceptional value for your money.

An Amarone wine from Cielo

Cielo Winery has become one of Veneto's most important wine producers. Their knowledge and reach ensure they master all aspects of Veneto viticulture. Whether you're looking for a Bardolino, Pinot Grigio, or Prosecco, Cielo has it all. This is because Cielo is a cooperative where many winegrowers have been working closely together since 1908, making Cielo certainly no novice. The Veneto wine region, roughly located between Venice and the famous Lake Garda, is a region of many extremes. It has so much to offer in terms of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines; and Cielo masters them all! Yet, like every Italian wine region, Veneto also has its crown jewel. In this case, Amarone; one of Italy's most magnificent wines.

Impressions of Amaregi Amarone Riserva

Cielo's Amarone is one to behold. Nothing is left to chance with this Amaregi Amarone Riserva. The Corvina and Rondinella are harvested at precisely the right moment. They are then dried for three to four months until they almost develop into currants. Most of the juice has evaporated, but what remains is of sublime quality. After pressing, Amaregis Amarone Riserva is aged for an impressive four years in oak barrels, earning it the Riserva designation. You can imagine that after this intensive production process, the flavor is intense, complex, and unique. Open this bottle and be delighted by fragrant notes of deep black fruit, dark cherries, fresh blackberries, and a hint of cassis. But wait, there's more: spices, Italian herbs, and balsamic vinegar also make their way into the rich palette of Amaregis Amarone Riserva. All in all, a top-notch Amarone at a very reasonable price.
