What a beautiful and refined Rosé from Argentina, this Andeluna 1300 Malbec Rosé! Rosé wines from this beautiful country aren't usually very good, but this one is the complete opposite. They use specially selected Malbec grapes, all harvested by hand. This ensures only the finest juice makes it into the bottle, and you can taste it!

The beginning of the Andeluna winery

In the mid-1990s, Ward Lay, a North American, decided to invest in Argentina, a country he greatly admired. Lay came from a family with extensive knowledge of the consumer market, having founded Frito-Lay and PepsiCo. With access to financial resources and successful experience, Ward became enamored with the world of wine. Andeluna was thus founded in 2003, with the Reina Rutini family and Michel Rolland as consulting oenologist on the sidelines. When Ward died in October 2011, his heirs decided to leave their fortune to people dedicated to Ward's ideals and principles. The Barale family, known for their energy sector in Brazil and the wine industry in Argentina, became the new owners. Today, Andeluna's original team of dedicated and professional staff continues Ward's vision and passion for winemaking. Andeluna currently owns vineyards in Gualtallary, 10 km from the town of Tupungato in the Uco Valley in the Mendoza province, at the foot of the breathtaking Andes Mountains, and near Villa Atuel in the southern part of the same province. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 1,100 to 1,300 meters above sea level, making Andeluna the highest vineyard in Argentina. It is also worth noting that Hans Vinding-Diers has been the enologist at Andeluna Cellars since May 2015.

What does the Andeluna 1300 Malbec Rosé taste like?

The vibrant, juicy, and fresh Malbec Rosé is a light pink in the glass. The nose reveals notes of fresh red fruit (cherries, plums, and strawberries), blended with hints of lime and grapefruit. A delicate rosé aroma on the palate, enhanced by delicate herbs, is pleasantly light and refreshing, with a lovely finish of cherries and strawberries.
