Andeluna Winery was founded in 2003 with the vision of becoming one of the top wineries in Argentina. Among the mega-wineries in the Mendoza wine region, Andeluna is a true gem. The winery is located near the village of Gualtallery, near Tupugato, at an altitude of over 1,300 meters above sea level. The area is renowned in Argentina as one of the best regions for producing quality wines. All grapes come from the winery's own approximately 80 hectares of vineyards. After manual harvesting, maceration takes place at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place using natural and selected yeasts in controlled stainless steel tanks at temperatures around 26 degrees Celsius. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for three months and then bottled for at least another three months before release.
Andeluna's Merlot 1300 presents itself with an intense, dark ruby red color in the glass. The aroma is juicy, revealing aromas of cherries, blackberries, blueberries, fine spices, coffee, and cocoa beans. The taste is characterized by black fruit with silky tannins and a beautiful body. The oak aging creates a perfect balance between ripe fruit and oak. Simply a delicious, typical Merlot.
