With ancient traditions and a deep respect for Italian viticulture, Antiche Terre Venete crafts exquisite wines from local grape varieties. The winery is located in the town of Sezano, in one of Italy's most beautiful valleys, Valpantena. This renowned valley is known for its beautiful vineyards and is also known as "The Valley of the Gods." This is because viticulture here dates back to the time of the Roman Empire. The soil structure and climate are truly fantastic, and this Pinot Grigio wine reflects this. Antiche Terre Venete began in the early twentieth century when Mr. Sancassi decided to cultivate olives and grape varieties on his land. Together with the Degani family, he founded the winery, which is now considered iconic.
The harvest of the Pinot Grigio grape
In total, Antiche Terre Venete boasts an impressive fifty hectares of vineyards growing various grape varieties. They utilize the pergola growing system, unique to this wine region. The Pinot Grigio grapes are grown with love and passion in a perfect environment. Plenty of sunshine and a cool breeze contribute to the results. The harvest is then brought in early in the morning and subjected to strict controls at the Antiche Terre Venete winery. Only the finest Pinot Grigio bunches are used in this white wine.
