So incredibly beautiful, and certainly one of the finest wines from Dutch soil, this Apostelhoeve Müller Thürgau. It's grown in the oldest vineyard in the Netherlands, the six-hectare vineyard located on the Louwberg. This hill is perfectly positioned for the sun. The chalky and marl-rich soil creates a unique terroir. We've noticed the quality of Apostelhoeve skyrocketing, partly due to the extensive attention from winemaker Mathieu Hulst. But also because the Müller Thürgau vines mature and produce fuller clusters.

A lot of wine served in the catering industry

This Müller Thürgau is a lesser-known grape, but oh so beautiful! Apostelhoeve knows how to make a wonderful wine from this Müller Thürgau. This wine is also very popular among restaurants these days, thanks to its gastronomic versatility. This translates into beautiful wine-food pairings. For example, this wine is delicious with a piece of white fish, chicken dishes, asparagus, eel mousse, and mussels. It's therefore versatile and makes a wonderful pairing for many dishes.

What does the Apostelhoeve Muller Thurgau taste like?

It's truly a celebration, let's start with that. Every year, the wine is completely sold out. Because there are no more vines and winemaker Mathieu Hulst doesn't want to compromise on quality, we have to do our best to purchase these wines. Fortunately, we at Perfectewijn have a good relationship with the family and are allowed to purchase a beautiful batch every year. This vintage, thanks to the warm summer, is excellent. As soon as the bottle is opened, you smell hints of citrus fruit, spring flowers, and a touch of spice. The taste is refined and fresh, beautifully balanced with plenty of depth. Hints of white fruit, minerals, citrus, and gooseberry.
