Fredavelle Aromance Rose Provence

This Aromance Rosé is the flagship wine of Domaine Fredavelle, a unique rosé from the Aix-en-Provence region. The winery saw its first harvest pressed in 1999. Domaine Fredavelle was born from the encounter of two wine enthusiasts. David Ravel and Olivia Menigoz, along with their family, set out to find a unique corner of France to produce their rosé. They found their happiness in the small village of Eguilles, located about ten kilometers from Aix-en-Provence. Together, they mapped everything out and worked diligently in the vineyards. The old vines received extra attention, resulting in a powerful and ripe harvest after several years. Significant investments have also been made in a modern winery, among other things, where the families explore the boundaries between modern techniques and ancient traditions. This is what Domaine Fredavelle is known for!

The old vineyard for the Aromance Rosé

Today, Domaine Fredavelle has approximately twenty-two hectares of vineyards planted with local grape varieties. For this Aromance Rosé, they use the oldest vines, filled with Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine and cool winds, provides the bunches with everything they need. The rich soil structure, rich in minerals, gives the bunches everything they need to shine. When the harvest is ripe, it is harvested early in the morning. This prevents oxidation and bruising during transport to Domaine Fredavelle. The skins ferment for only a few minutes, creating the beautiful, light color. The name Aromance comes from this magnificent rosé's vibrant and powerful aroma!

This delicious Aromance de Fredavelle from the Coteaux d'Aix en Provence region is truly a gem! The aroma offered abundant hints of red fruit interspersed with fresh citrus notes. The palate is beautifully subtle and smooth. Wonderfully crisp and dry with lovely hints of strawberry and raspberry. We also detected plenty of terroir and elegance, rounded off with a lovely mineral note. What a fantastic glass of rosé!
