This beautiful Cote du Rhone from Ogier is the newest wine from Château Ogier. We think it's a wonderful addition. It's a powerful cherry-red wine with strong aromas. The wine is made from a blend of different grape varieties. Each grape variety imparts its own unique character, resulting in a fresh wine with an expressive nose and a silky, full-bodied palate.
A tribute to founder Ogier Caves des Papes
The wine is a tribute to Antoine Ogier, founder of the Ogier Caves des Papes winery. The estate is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Here, winemaking is considered a true art, requiring meticulous care. And you can certainly taste that in their wines. The winery is a leader in the Rhône region and produces exquisite wines. The origins of Ogier Caves des Papes go back to 1859. From 1949 onwards, they focused entirely on viticulture, winemaking, and wine sales. Their beautiful buildings in Châteauneuf-du-Pape are built in Roman style and feature their own cellars where Ogier produces and ages his wines.
Ogier Artésis Côtes du Rhône is made from the classic southern Rhône grape varieties Grenache and Syrah, supplemented with a small amount of Carignan and Mourvèdre. These varieties are grown on soils composed of pebbles, clay, and sand. This red wine is vinified traditionally and matures for six to eight months in French and American oak barrels.
What does the red Ogier Artesis Cote Du Rhone taste like?
The Ogier Artésis is a powerful wine with a cherry-red color and beautiful purple hues that emphasize its youthfulness. This red wine also boasts intense aromas dominated by spices like cinnamon. The aroma also reveals notes of red fruit such as plums, cherries, and blackberries. Its palate is pleasantly full and rounded with warm, fruity vanilla notes. Ogier Artésis pairs perfectly with rich meats, game dishes, robust sausages, or aged cheeses.
