The white version of the Cote du Rhone is also of a high standard. This wine is made primarily from no fewer than six grape varieties, including Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Bourboulenc, along with several other smaller varieties. This blend gives it its contemporary character.

The art of winemaking

The story of the Ogier Caves des Papes estate begins around 1859. Since 1948, the estate has focused on winemaking. The cellars, where the wine is vinified and aged, date back to the twentieth century. The estate's magnificent Roman-style buildings are undoubtedly the oldest cellars in the southern Rhône Valley. In 2006, Ogier committed itself fully to sustainability, and since then, all its vineyards have been organically farmed. Winemaking is a true art, at least that's how Ogier sees it. Therefore, the work is very subtle. And that, of course, is reflected in the wines. Ogier has 3,200 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Rhône Valley in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, north of Avignon. The soil consists of sandy and gravelly clay. The most widely planted grape is Grenache. All grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. Only the finest juice is good enough for the wines of Ogier Caves des Papes.

What does the Ogier Artesis Cote Du Rhone White taste like?

And then it's time to taste this white wine. The Artesis Blanc is golden yellow in color and has a particularly expressive nose with subtle hints of delicate floral aromas. This French white wine harmonizes perfectly with the fruity notes of pear and yellow plum, rounded out by almond and honey. It has a beautifully developed, fresh flavor with a fantastic finish that still reveals some mint and fruit. A truly delicious glass of wine that pairs perfectly with seafood or spicy fish and chicken.
