With the Grillo taking center stage, we know one thing for sure: this is a Sicilian gem; and what a gem! We're crazy about it. Aulico perfectly combines Sicily's rugged and robust character with the friendliness and accessibility we've come to expect from Italian wines. Wines for every day, yet of excellent quality. Our recommendation for Aulico Grillo Sicilia? Enjoy it as an aperitif. Simply the perfect wine for just one glass.
The wines of Aulico
Aulico's Sicilian wines boast an impressive track record. Behind the scenes, Aulico wines are made by none other than Cantine Ermes. This giant in Italian wines boasts an impressive history. It all began in the summer of 1998 in the Belice Valley. The area roughly located between Santa Ninfa and Gibellina had been ravaged by an earthquake years earlier, severely impacting the wine industry. However, nine local winegrowers decided to join forces and pull together to revive the wine industry. Almost 25 years after its founding, this cooperative, Cantine Ermes, now has 2,373 members and owns nearly 13,000 hectares!

The lion's share of Cantine Ermes' vineyards is located in the vast and beautiful island of Sicily. The company is constantly striving for improvement and sees a significant role for local grape varieties, including Grillo. It's no wonder this Sicilian grape takes center stage in Aulico Grillo Sicilia. A refreshing, crisp wine that instantly puts a smile on your face. The invigorating notes of yellow melon, tropical fruit, and fresh lemon complete the Aulico Grillo Sicilia tasting experience.
