After the success of Château Aussieres' red wines, a superb Chardonnay is now available! Château Aussieres was acquired in 1990 by the world-famous Domaines Barons de Rotschild winery. This estate is the master craftsman of top-quality Bordeaux wines. Year after year, the estate continues to surprise the international wine press. Unfortunately, these wines are only for a select few. To ensure the estate could also produce wines for connoisseurs, they expanded their horizons, specifically west of Narbonne, where Château d'Aussieres is located. This estate has a centuries-old winemaking history. Unfortunately, the vineyards had fallen into complete disrepair, requiring them to be completely uprooted and replanted. Domaines Barons de Rotschild is unparalleled in the planting and care of the plants and vines, a skill that is certainly evident in all Château d'Aussieres wines. Finally, the vineyards for this Chardonnay were planted and once again with great success.
A classic French white wine with a modern touch
The first wines from this château, under the management of Domaines Barons de Rotschild, were two beautiful Corbiere wines. Two new Pays d'Oc wines have since been added to the range, including this Aussieres Chardonnay Lafite Rothschild. The origins of Domaines Barons de Rotschild are also held in high regard for this wine. The quality of this wine must be excellent, and it certainly is! As the name suggests, this French white wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Thanks to the warm climate, interspersed with the wonderfully cool evenings, the grapes can grow carefree. Once these grapes have reached the right ripeness, the manual harvest begins. Through strict selection of the fruit, the winemaker succeeds in generating a unique and pure juice that will later become this wine. After vinification, this Chardonnay Aussieres will mature for several months in the beautiful cellars, after which the winemaker will release the wines.
Why buy Aussieres Chardonnay?
Every year, it's a joy to taste this wine. Chardonnay as a French Chardonnay should be! Full-bodied and rich with a refreshing touch. When we pour the wine, we can clearly see the color: this is a Chardonnay! A beautiful golden yellow with a summery sparkle. The aroma is elegant, with notes of exotic fruit, citrus zest, and white blossom. Full and generous on the palate, a fresh, lively finish. Very characteristic of a Chardonnay from classic France.
