21 months of wood aging for Reserve Red Wine

Today, Beaulieu Vineyard is known as one of the most historic Grand Cru wineries in Napa Valley. Quality and innovation are paramount in the production of their wines. Founded in 1900 by Georges de Latour and his wife, they began with four acres of land. Their wines are of a very high standard and each one is a pleasure to savor. All grapes are grown in Napa Valley and each is harvested and fermented separately. Winemaker Jeffrey Stambor ages each wine in small wooden barrels for 21 months. He then creates the blend to further refine this exceptional wine. Sixty percent of this wine is made from new barrels, so you can imagine its full-bodied and powerful character! The aging process gives this BV Tapestry a full aroma and flavor, with spiciness and toffee at the forefront. The Tapestry reflects the 2015 growing season with its expressive, powerful aromas and flavors, along with a bold structure and density.

What does Beaulieu Vineyard Tapestry Reserve Red Wine taste like?

This is a wine that showcases the art of blending five Bordeaux grape varieties, each lending its own distinct style. Cabernet Sauvignon gave the wine its generous core of juicy blackcurrant, dark cherry, and cassis, while Merlot brought a bright, ripe, glazed red fruit character that helped temper the tannins and add softness and texture to the mouthfeel. Malbec contributed deep plum and black cherry notes, while Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot completed the blend with nuances of violet, dried herbs, and graphite.
