The delicious wines of Bellavista
Nestled among the rolling hills between Lake Iseo and the Brescia Valley, in Lombardy, lies the Bellavista estate. This is the life's work of Vittorio Moretti, who founded the winery in 1977. He fell in love with the land and began making wine there as a hobby. Today, Bellavista is known as the "Dom Pérignon" of Italy, with its collection of exceptional Franciacorta sparkling wines. All sparkling wines under the DOCG Franciacorta are aged in bottle for at least 25 months before release. Most are made from Chardonnay and/or Pinot Noir. In addition to its beautiful sparkling wines, Bellavista also produces several top white wines made from Chardonnay. Top quality is always a priority at Bellavista.
The grapes come from all the Bellavista vineyards. Non Dosato 'Alma Grande Cuvée' is the contemporary and vibrant interpretation of the Bellavista vineyard and is made according to the classic method, without the addition of sugars in the "sciroppo di tiraggio," or "liqueur de tirage." It is made from 90 percent Chardonnay grapes, complemented by 10 percent Pinot Nero. The grapes are sourced from the entire family-owned estate. This non-vintage Franciacorta is blended from various base wines, aged for 30 months after harvest, along with a few "reserve wines" from previous vintages.
What does the Bellavista Grande Cuvee Alma Non Dosato taste like?
Non Dosato 'Alma Grande Cuvée' is straw yellow in color with green highlights. Its rich aromas are reminiscent of white fruit and fresh flowers. On the palate, the wine offers a juicy, fresh, and sharp sensation. The palate is versatile and pleasantly dry, yet firm with refreshing notes. This Franciacorta exudes class and elegance, paired with a long, harmonious finish.
