This Belleruche rosé wine embodies top-notch quality and refinement. It's made from Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah grapes in the southern Côtes du Rhône region. Here, the grapes receive ample sunshine, resulting in a soft, ripe rosé. Add to that the fact that this wine is made by the renowned Michel Chapoutier winery, and it's no wonder wine guru Robert Parker has such high regard for it. This magnificent winery even achieved the maximum score of 100 points with five of its wines in the past few years! Incredibly, this Belleruche rosé is no exception.

The rosé Belleruche is made by Chapoutier

Michel Chapoutier is considered a living legend, as he knows better than anyone how to create a top-notch wine from every harvest. Not only in the high-end segment where he excelled, but also for this Belleruche rosé. We can safely say that this rosé is truly phenomenal and a strong competitor for many top Côtes de Provence. The old vineyards are located in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône and are filled with Cinsault, Grenache Noir, and Syrah grapes. Because the vineyard is mature, the vines produce excellent grapes. But this doesn't happen automatically, as it requires plenty of sunshine to ripen the grapes, and even more importantly, a fresh breeze in the vineyards. This freshness ensures a peaceful growing season for this Belleruche rosé, allowing the grapes to mature slowly. The natural acidity of the grapes is preserved, resulting in a refreshing rosé.

The harvest of the Côtes du Rhône rosé

After a long maturation period and considerable attention from Chapoutier's winemakers, the grapes are ready to be harvested. They are harvested early in the morning, while the grapes are still dormant. Chapoutier wants to give this Belleruche rosé a fresh style, so it's important to harvest them early in the morning, while the grapes are still dormant and retain their freshness. They are transported in small crates by tractor to Chapoutier. Upon arrival, they are placed on sorting tables and rigorously inspected; only the finest juice is bottled.

The taste of Belleruche rosé

The aroma offers a beautiful interplay of red fruits like berries, raspberries, and cherries, along with subtle hints of grapefruit and grenadine. The palate is crisp and dry with abundant flavors of red fruit, grapefruit, citrus, and a hint of mint. In short, a classy rosé for this price!
