Wow, what a full-bodied, powerful wine from the Rueda region. Bellori Vinos knows how to produce quality wines like no other. This delicious white wine is no exception. Only the finest juice is good enough, so the grapes are rigorously selected. Thanks to extended oak aging, this Verdejo is powerful and full-bodied. A true pleasure!
The wines from the Rueda area
The Bellorí white wine is made with Verdejo grapes and belongs to the DO Wiel. The vineyards are located in the "La Ventosa" dehesa, at an altitude of over 800 meters. The area was already renowned over a hundred years ago, when the grapes were prized for the production of the then-current Serrada and La Seca wines. The stony soil is characteristic of the area, with an abundance of gravel, which gives the DO Rueda wines so much personality.
We owe this wine to Bellori Vinos, and its production runs to 10,530 bottles. Bellori's philosophy is to produce wines with character, expressive and complex, yet subtle and authentic. They aim to offer consumers a harmonious sensory experience. And they certainly achieve this with this white wine, fermented for an impressive six months in oak barrels. It earned 94 points in the 2013 Peñín Guide. Serve this wine at a temperature between eight and ten degrees Celsius.
A white wine with a perfect balance
The Verdejo grapes for this Bellori are hand-harvested and then aged in oak barrels for nine months. This gives this Bellori Rueda Verdejo Barrica its full and powerful aroma and flavor. The nose reveals new oak notes with delicate toasted balsamic and menthol aromas combined with intense white fruit and caramel. This Verdejo has a fresh and balanced taste. It boasts excellent acidity and a mineral background that emphasizes the spicy French oak. An excellent blend of fruit and oak for a good structure on the palate. So beautifully crafted, a classy wine that's just a little bit different.
