The mountains trap heat during the day and protect the grapes from the influence of rising ocean mist. At night, the altitude provides sufficient cooling, creating ideal conditions for grapes that also thrive in Bordeaux. The vines of the Marinus Vineyard grow on clay loam and sandy loam. The vineyard's unique microclimate ensures a long growing season, giving the grapes ample time to develop their full, unique character on the vine. This results in wines of exceptional quality. The grapes are all harvested by hand after a rigorous selection process, ensuring only the finest fruit is used for the pressing. After vinification, this red wine is aged in French oak barrels. This aging process takes approximately 24 to 30 months.
