Bodegas Roda's latest wine adventure. That's the perfect way to describe this delicious Corimbo. This red wine originates from a new project called La Horra and comes from the golden mile in the Ribera del Duero valley.
Roda wines from sustainable vineyards
Bodegas Rode wines have their own unique style. A pleasant nose with aromas emanating from the vineyard. Aromas of red and black fruit are ever-present. The oak is more in the background, almost imperceptible. All wines are sourced from sustainable vineyards, avoiding chemicals and respecting nature. The timing of harvest is crucial. Only then can the winery strive for the highest quality. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, followed by a rigorous selection process. Only the very best grapes are good enough for Bodega Roda wines. This creates wines that are difficult to resist, inviting you to take another sip with their fullness and freshness.
The new project La Horra
In 2006, the Roda winery began the La Horra project, and two years later, the first vintage was vinified. After careful selection of the grapes, the wine undergoes maceration in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by malolactic fermentation in casks. Finally, the wine matures for another twelve years in barriques made of 80% French and 20% American oak. The name Corimbo refers to the composite flower shape, in which numerous small flowers together form a kind of umbrella.
What does the Roda La Horra Corimbo taste like?
This Corimbo is deep red in color with an open bouquet. The nose offers soft, refined aromas of ripe blackberries, cinnamon, pepper, and a hint of licorice. This is followed by a true sensation on the palate: full-bodied, creamy, yet complex. With the second sip, the Ribera character comes through more. This red wine literally blossoms in the glass. In short, a superb wine and highly recommended!
