Wines with their own style

Bodegas Roda, a Spanish winery, is one of the most representative wineries in Rioja Alta. Thanks to its innovative approach and associated philosophy, the winery is now among the top producers. Mario Rotllant and Carmen Daurella founded this winery together in the late 1980s, establishing their base in the legendary train station district of Haro. Their goal was to conquer the wine world with a new and modern concept. Together with a technical team, they developed this goal and have sparked a major innovation movement. The winery now produces four wines: Sela, Roda, Roda I, and Cirsion. Bodegas Roda wines have their own distinctive style. A pleasant nose with aromas emanating from the vineyard. Aromas of red and black fruit are ever-present. The oak is more in the background, almost undetectable.

Composition of the Roda Sela

This Sela from Bodegas Roda is a blend of 82 percent Tempranillo, 10 percent Garnache, and 8 percent Graciano. Each grape variety lends its unique character to this delicious red wine. The wine undergoes both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in large French oak barrels. It then matures for 12 months in semi-new French oak barrels.

What does Bodega Roda Sela Rioja taste like?

On the nose, we notice a very expressive red fruit bouquet, with red cherry and a nutty edge reminiscent of almonds. The palate is complex and very full, with abundant black fruit and a long, deep finish. Bodegas Roda wines have won numerous awards in various competitions and received high ratings in tastings worldwide.
