Bodegas Toro Albala Dos Claveles

A fresh, entry-level wine from the Toro Albala family winery. This dry wine evokes the courtyard gardens of Cordoba, in southern Spain. These gardens are surrounded by hundreds of beautiful flowers, which explains the floral label.

Toro Albala is a true family business with a long history. Today, you find wines from this house in all the major restaurants, but a hundred years ago, that would have been questionable. It all began in 1922 with a small-scale winemaker, Jose Maria Toro Albala. He founded the winery in the heart of southern Cordoba. The idea was to age wines long-term and then produce more elegant wines. At the time, this was a significant risk due to the economic crisis. But courage and passion turned this bold idea into a resounding success. To ensure a fresh wine, the Pedro Ximenex grapes are harvested early. At the end of July, the ripe grapes are selectively harvested, resulting not only in fresh grapes but also fruity aromas and a pleasant acidity. A rigorous selection process follows in the cellar, followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures. Finally, the wine is aged for about six months in stainless steel tanks before being meticulously bottled in this vibrant bottle.

The smell and taste of Bodegas Toro Albala Dos Claveles

With a bright yellow color, the Dos Claveles radiates in the glass. We immediately enjoy an aroma of fresh fruit. Apple, pear, apricot, and banana dance from the glass. These fruity notes are complemented by fresh citrus and floral aromas. It is a dry wine on the palate with a round finish. Lightly refreshing and above all, pleasant. Pour this wine to enjoy on its own or pair it with a delicious piece of fish or white meat.
