The name "Tufaie" honors the tuff stone abundant in the soils of the Classico region. This refined Soave reveals a complex bouquet, characteristic of the hilly vineyards from which it originates. The wine is blended from 85% Garganega and 15% Trebbiano di Soave, a combination that offers both depth and elegance.

Bolla Tufaie Soave: A Historical Reference

In 1893, Abele Bolla chose to pursue his passion for wine in the picturesque northern region of Veneto, Italy. Here, amidst rolling hills and fertile lands, he began offering his homemade wines to guests at his family inn. His wines quickly became a hit, leading to the founding of the now world-famous Bolla winery. The name "Tufaie" is a nod to the historic Tufa quarries that once graced the Verona landscape. This golden volcanic stone, which reflects the color of this wine, was used to create some of Verona's most iconic buildings. The careful fermentation process of Tufaie takes place under strict temperature control. After fermentation, the wine remains in close contact with the yeast cells, a technique called "bâtonnage," which gives the wine an additional dimension of flavor. Some of the wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation to preserve its fruity essence.

Refined Taste Nuances of Bolla Tufaie Soave

This oak-aged Soave shines golden yellow in the glass and seduces with aromas of citrus, melon, grapefruit, pear, subtle spices, and a hint of honey. Its palate is both intense and velvety smooth, full-bodied with notes of acacia flowers, ripe white fruit, and dried almonds. The finish is long and captivating. Bolla Tufaie Soave is the ideal partner for dishes like risotto, veal, or freshwater fish, promising a culinary experience that is both rich and refined.
