The history of Bottega winery dates back to the mid-1970s. Aldo Bottega, a distiller through and through, decided to establish his own distillery. He conquered the world, particularly in the field of Grappa. After many years of research, his son, now the owner of Bottega, launched a prosecco in 1992. From then on, the company boomed. Currently, their authentic Italian food and beverages are exported to over 120 countries! Their sparkling wines, in particular, are highly renowned, especially in Europe. This Bottega Miabi is the latest addition to the ever-expanding Bottega family.
A prosecco with a champagne cork
The basis for Bottega Miabi is the Pinot Nero grape. This grape is also known internationally as Pinot Noir. It's no wonder this grape is held in high regard due to its extensive use in French Champagnes. For this very reason, Bottega Miabi pairs perfectly with a delicious glass of Champagne. The Pinot Nero grapes grow on beautiful vineyards in southern Lombardy. These vineyards are considered among the finest in Bottega's vineyards.
Impressions of Bottega
With Bottega Miabi, Bottega aims to combine the best of both worlds: the refinement of Italy with the style and ornamentation of Japan. This combination is clearly visible on Bottega's ornately decorated bottle. It's almost a shame to savor this sparkling wine. However, it's definitely worth it to gently release the champagne cork from the bottle and pour the rich Bottega Miabi. The result is truly impressive. You smell toasted bread, yeast, and exuberant floral notes. The palate is elegant and classic, with a richness on the palate. You'll taste brioche bread, yellow fruit, and sweet almonds. Delicate, lush, and delicious in both aroma and flavor.
