Burmester 10 Tawny Port. As the name suggests, this is a 10-year-old port. The grapes for this Burmester 10 port grow on hills at an altitude of 600 meters. This allows the grapes to soak up plenty of sunshine and experience cool nights. Due to the altitude, all grapes are hand-harvested at precisely the right time. The grapes are planted in granite-covered soil, which gives the grapes their unique character. This port is composed of several different wines, all beautifully aged in oak. This results in a beautiful and silky smooth result.

What a refined port this 10-year-old Burmester Tawny is. A true showpiece, full-bodied and creamy with an intensely soft character. The aroma reveals a beautiful bouquet of dried fruit, almond, hazelnut, honey, and vanilla. Because this port has been aged in oak barrels for at least 10 years, it has developed and is exceptionally smooth. We can safely say it's one of Burmester's finest ports. The aroma is intense and rich with aromas of ripe dried fruit like plums, along with lovely notes of oak and vanilla. On the palate, we discovered notes of orange, apricot, and plum, with a touch of vanilla and currant. The finish is intense and silky smooth. Delicious paired with aged cheeses.
