The year 2023 was an excellent year for the region with a top score of 96 points . The wines from this vintage are characterized by excellent balance and aromatic ripeness.
Note: This is the large 3-liter bottle (Jeroboam). Only six of these bottles are coming to the Netherlands, making it very exclusive. By Ott is a rosé wine from the AOC Côtes-de-Provence, a blend of 60 percent Grenache Tinta, 28 percent Cinsault, 8 percent Syrah, and 4 percent Murvèdre, produced by Domaines Ott. Ott is a master at perfectly combining the grape varieties, which together create a delicious rosé.
The most famous rosé winery in Provence
Perhaps the most famous rosé winery in the world, Domaine Ott is a winery in Provence, founded by an Alsatian agronomist in 1912. In 2004, it was incorporated into the prestigious Louis Roeder brand, and together they produce high-quality wines. The estate owns a total of 53 hectares, of which only 40 are planted with vines. By Ott is the latest addition to the estate. Extensive preparation went into this brand-new wine to ensure its unparalleled quality. A few years ago, new vineyards were purchased and planted with Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah grapes. The grapes for By Ott come from vineyards planted in slate and chalky soils and are harvested by hand. A dedicated area in the Château de Selle cellar is dedicated to the production of this rosé. The taste is very soft and refined, wonderfully fresh, and has a beautiful dry finish with hints of light cherry and strawberry! It can certainly be described as very full-bodied.
