The unique terroir of Ca'Bolani
Ca'Bolani is a unique winery located in the heart of Friuli, where nature and vines are perfectly in tune. Acquired by the Zonin family in the 1970s, the estate covers an impressive 570 hectares and is planted on alluvial, mineral-rich soil between the sea and the mountains. The result is a unique terroir that allows for the production of wines with distinctive character. Ca'Bolani's vineyards are situated less than 15 kilometers from the Adriatic Sea and less than 70 kilometers from the Alps, meaning the wines benefit from perfect temperatures with significant fluctuations between day and night. Over the past decades, extensive work has been done in the vineyards to match the right plot of land with the right grapes. This has resulted in wines of exceptional quality that perfectly reflect the unique characteristics of Ca'Bolani's terroir.
The Friulano grapes are carefully harvested at peak ripeness and taken directly to the winery. Here, they undergo rigorous selection, after which they are crushed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature using selected yeasts, preserving the grapes' fruitiness. After fermentation, the wine is aged and bottled.
The radiant Ca'Bolani Friulano

On the palate, the wine has a broad flavor with pleasant acidity that creates freshness and aromatics. The finish is intense, lingering, and reminiscent of almonds. This wine is perfect for pairing with light dishes such as salads, fish dishes, or creamy risottos.
