Ca dei Frati Ronchedone, one of our favorite red wines from Italy! This red wine comes from the renowned Ca dei Frati winery. A winery we couldn't imagine our selection without! A wonderful producer of classic Italian wines, the Ca dei Frati winery has a long history. In 1939, Felice Dal Cero moved to the current estate because he believed this region would continue to produce superb wines. His son succeeded in bottling the first Lugana of exceptional quality in 1969. Lugana Casa dei Frati was born! Many more wonderful wines would follow.
This Ronchedone is world famous
Today, Ca dei Frati is a world-renowned winery that pays close attention to its vineyards and wines. The grapes for this Ronchedone come from various vineyards, creating a pleasant diversity within the grapes. This red wine is made from Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The climate around nearby Lake Garda, with its Peler wind, is also crucial for the maturation of these grapes. All grapes are hand-picked on the steep slopes of Ca dei Frati. This wine is then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. After aging in barrels, this Ronchedone is bottle-aged for 12 months in the Ca dei Frati cellars. No bottle leaves the cellar without being at its peak—that is the hallmark of this beautiful winery.
