Rosa dei Frati, its appearance alone captivated our senses. The beautiful, classic label and our knowledge of Ca dei Frati's other wines have given us high expectations for this lovely rosé. The Ca dei Frati winery has been a staple in our selection for years and is now indispensable. The latest addition to this winery is this Rosa dei Frati, and we couldn't be more thrilled! This delicious rosé is made from Gropello, Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Barbera.
For this rosé Ca dei Frati, hand-picked grapes are used
These grapes give the rosé a rich character, making it pleasantly different from other rosé wines. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, ensuring only the finest juice makes it into the rosé. The influence of nearby Lake Garda creates a perfect microclimate where the grapes can grow with virtually no worries. This is evident in this pure rosé wine.
Rosa dei Frati a jewel of a Rose
Pouring this beautiful gem, the Rosa dei Frati, we're immediately struck by its light pink color. Not the salmon pink we're used to from Provence rosés, but a beautiful light pink. On the nose, this Rosa dei Frati offers hints of young red fruit like cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of almond and rosehip. The palate is impressive and refined, with plenty of red fruit, with raspberry and strawberry taking center stage. Complemented by citrus peel, grapefruit, and cherry fruit. The finish is mildly dry and, despite all the fruity notes, certainly refreshing. What a gem! A delicious dish to pair with this gem of a rosé? Lightly flavored tuna with green vegetables and a soy sauce would be perfect!
