In the heart of the Bordeaux region, specifically in Saint-André de Cubzac, stands the Café de Paris winery. Today, it is one of the largest and most famous sparkling wineries in France. The idea originated in the heart of Paris when Jean Marc saw that many sparkling wines and Champagnes were being served there. He didn't hesitate for a moment and purchased several vineyards across France. This was the beginning of his wine cellar's completion in 1900, when he began producing these superb sparkling wines. He cultivated various grape varieties to create his sparkling wine using methods from the Champagne region. In 1930, the cellar was purchased by René Lalu, a resourceful businessman who later led the iconic Champagne brands GH Mumm and Perrier-Jouët. Today, Café de Paris is the most popular aperitif in France.

The old vineyard of Café de Paris

The Café de Paris vineyards are mature and producing a top-notch harvest. This is partly because each grape variety is planted in its prime terroir. The sun's power is always palpable, and the bunches also receive plenty of cooling wind. This allows the grapes to grow slowly, evenly, and vigorously. Harvesting is carried out vineyard by vineyard, always in the early morning, the perfect time to gather the grapes. Once all the juice has been extracted, the blend for this Café de Paris Rosé is created, and the result is stunning. We think the Champagne region can prepare itself.

The scent and taste of the Café de Paris Rose

In the glass, it shimmers coral pink with a faint red shimmer. The beautiful bubbles entice our senses. This Café de Paris Rose smells of red fruit, along with a touch of sweet pear and a light hint of pomegranate. On the palate, it offers a pleasant, slightly refreshing sensation with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and lychee. Swirl it around, and we also taste grapefruit and fresh cherries. The finish is smooth and very pleasant.
