We can count ourselves lucky that Amadio Pirovano, a shoemaker through and through, decided to make a career change in 1850. In that same year, he and his sons opened a restaurant serving local wines. It was a resounding success, and in 1910, a winery followed. They began producing their own wines, having extensive experience in the local region. This proved to be a resounding success, and the winery, thanks in part to Amadio Pirovano, grew into one of the largest in Italy. Casa Coller winery in Vento was added later, and they were thrilled with it; sparkling wines were still missing from their selection. Significant investments were made in the vineyards and modern winemaking techniques, and as a result, Casa Coller has become a well-known winery in the region.

The harvest for the Casa Coller Rosé

Veneto is dotted with vineyards filled with Garganega, Pinot Noir, and Trebbiano grapes. This diversity of terroir and landscape leads to the worldwide success known as Casa Coller Rosé. Each grape enjoys its own distinct terroir and is harvested separately. This always happens early in the morning to protect the grapes from the road to Casa Coller. Upon arrival, the grapes are vinified and stored in stainless steel tanks. The Casa Coller winemaker then creates the blend for this Rosé. And leave it to him, because it's a successful rosé.

Wonderfully soft and fruity, this rosé from Casa Coller

The bottle alone is beautiful, with its salmon pink label. But it doesn't stop there, because upon pouring, we see a beautiful light pink color with red highlights. The bubbles rise slowly, creating a pleasant sensation. Nosing the glass, we smell hints of strawberries and raspberries, as well as a hint of citrus and grapefruit. The flavor is full and robust, thanks in part to the Pinot Noir grape in this Casa Coller Rosé. A lovely initial attack of red fruit is followed by a soft mousse, ripe red fruit, and a touch of mint.
