Celler Kripta Rosat Trepat, Corpinnat
A rosé bubbly with personality, that is this Rosat Trepat from Celler Kripta, fresh, intense and deliciously juicy, exactly as you would want with a gastronomic Brut from Corpinnat.
Vineyards and region
The Trepat comes from the Ubac vineyard in Sant Joan de Mediona, at an altitude of 500 meters. This mountain vineyard is located in the Vall d'Anoia–Foix region of the Comtats de Barcelona, a cooler part of the Penedès region where the altitude and breezes create tension and aromatic freshness. The wine is certified organic and vegan and is harvested by hand. Harvest began on September 25th in 2023, a year characterized by water stress and low yields, resulting in small, concentrated grapes and remarkably expressive base wines.
Vinification and maturation
Trepat is briefly macerated for color and aroma, approximately 8 hours, after which fermentation lasts for 28 days at 16 degrees Celsius with native yeasts selected prior to harvest. What does tirage mean in the traditional method, and what does it do for the wine? Tirage is the bottling with yeast and sugar to initiate a secondary fermentation in the bottle, followed in this case by aging in the cellar at a constant 17 degrees Celsius. The disgorgement date is printed on the back label and indicates when the yeast sediment was removed and the final cork was placed. This Rosat is a Brut, meaning it has a low dosage, making it dry but not astringent. The style is Reserva, which means longer bottle aging on the yeast, resulting in a finer mousse and added complexity.
Grape composition
Trepat 100%. Trepat is an indigenous Catalan blue grape variety renowned for its vibrant red fruit, subtle spiciness, and invigorating character, ideal for refreshing rosé sparkling wines with finesse.
Tasting notes and serving suggestions
Cherry red color with violet hues. The aroma reveals ripe red fruit and a subtle, slightly herbaceous note typical of Trepat. The palate is fresh and full, beautifully balanced with energetic bubbles, a clean, long finish, and a lingering mouthfeel. This is the perfect glass for aperitifs, tapas, grilled vegetables, red berry salads, or light Asian dishes where freshness and precision make all the difference. Alcohol 11.5 percent, total acidity 5.8 grams per liter, dosage from organic grape juice 8 grams per liter. Limited edition of 26,000 bottles.
