Northern Italy is known for its versatile Pinot Grigio. We rarely encounter a variety like this: exuberant yet refined. Versatile and sweet. A special glass of Pinot Grigio wine. Not a white wine from Veneto, but much further north. Where Pinot Grigio truly thrives, in breathtaking Trentino. Cembra Pinot Grigio: drinking it is savoring.
A great glass of Pinot Grigio wine
Cembra is situated in the almost mountainous Trentino region. This Italian winery's vineyards are situated at an exceptionally high altitude, reaching altitudes of up to 700 meters. This is precisely why various Pinot varieties thrive here. Besides the abundant Pinot Nero, Cembra also has ample Pinot Grigio plantings. Because Pinot Grigio is less tolerant of extreme temperature fluctuations, these vineyards are located slightly lower.
The Pinot Grigio grapes are personally selected. After fermentation, the wine matures for a good six months on its own yeast cells. This gives the Pinot Grigio that extra body, while retaining the refreshing notes a good Pinot Grigio should possess. A striking appearance in the Trentino vineyards.
The aroma and taste of Cembra Pinot Grigio
A perfect aperitif wine. Perfectly balanced. The acidity is certainly present, but combined with the necessary ripe fruit, it remains beautifully balanced. A hint of peach. A hint of apple and pear. Exceptionally lively and very refreshing. Best enjoyed chilled. Trentino at its very best.
