Champagne Deutz Extra Brut

Only when producing a super-pure Champagne can a Champagne be considered Extra Brut, or Zero Dosage. Normally, a Champagne is sweetened with Liqueur de Dosage upon its release from the cellar, thus distinguishing it from Brut and Demi-sec. But for enthusiasts, Deutz now also offers an Extra Brut with little or no Liqueur de Dosage. In the Champagne world, this Champagne is also known as the Champagne that won't make you fat. This is, of course, a slight slant, but women, in particular, find this Extra Brut very pleasant. You taste and smell the beautiful, fresh style and the purity of the region. The aroma offers a rich bouquet of white and citrus fruit, a touch of fresh mint, baked bread, and a hint of green pepper. The palate is naturally crisp and dry with fine minerals, notes of green apple and grapefruit. On the back of the tongue, a stimulating note of fresh mint and gooseberry.
