This Brut Champagne is a blend of 50 percent Pinot Noir, 45 percent Chardonnay, and a touch of Meunier. This combination creates a wonderful freshness and a beautiful profile befitting a Champagne of this caliber. Fresh and fruity, but above all, a party in a bottle.
The beginning of Ernest Rapeneau champagne
In 1901, Ernest Rapeneau founded his own winery in the village of Hautvillers. It wasn't until 1927, however, that Ernest finally focused on producing Champagnes. And that choice proved to be an excellent one. He carefully selected his wines and significantly improved the quality of his business. He was a true Champagne connoisseur, and that was clearly reflected in his Champagnes. Rapeneau's personality is primarily based on that of the founder and his descendants: everyone has been able to find their own place within this family business. For four generations, everyone's goal has been to preserve, perpetuate, adapt, and improve a priceless traditional heritage.
This Brut champagne has become a very elegant wine, thanks to the champagne house's high level of craftsmanship. The finest Chardonnay and Pinot grapes are harvested entirely by hand. During the vinification process, the wine is produced according to the traditional Champagne method. The final champagne is aged for an impressive 15 months. Everything is designed to produce a fine bubble and a fresh, rich character.
