A powerful, high-quality blend. That's the shortest way to describe this Premier Cru champagne. A beautiful blend of 80 percent Pinot Noir and 20 percent Chardonnay. Both grapes lend their unique character to this high-quality champagne.
The high reputation of Ernest Rapeneau champagne
Ernest Rapeneau's adventure began in 1901 in the French village of Hautvilliers. He founded the eponymous winery. It wasn't until 1927 that he began to specialize entirely in champagne. Besides being a tremendous businessman, he also had a deep passion for Champagne wines. And perhaps that was the beginning of his success. His love and passion for champagne have led to much success in the years that followed.
After 50 years of hard work and the reputation he built, it was time to retire. His two sons took over the company, and today the third and fourth generations are at the helm. It's a true family business, with each family member given the opportunity to carve out their own niche within the company. They hold fast to tradition, but also allow room for improvement where necessary. This ensures the 10,000 square meters of wine cellar remain a valuable asset for the next generation.
Manual harvest for Rapeneau Premier Cru
The ripe, fresh, high-quality grapes are harvested entirely by hand. During the vinification process, the wine is produced according to the traditional Champagne method. Finally, the final champagne is aged for several months. Everything is designed to produce a fine bubble and a fresh, rich character.
The Premier Cru emerges with a clear color in the glass. The aroma offers delicate, elegant, fruity notes of white peach, among other things. The flavor is powerful, full-bodied, and fruity, yet also delightfully refreshing, bringing everything into perfect balance. The finish is subtle with hints of honey.
