The old vines of Chanson

Founded in 1750, Chanson is a very old winery. Throughout its history, they have made a significant contribution to the Burgundy region. Chanson owns a total of 45 hectares of vineyards, all of which have Premier Cru and Grand Cru status. The vineyards are located in the most beautiful villages of the Côtes de Beaune and are often quite mature, some even reaching ninety years old, ensuring fantastic quality. Moreover, the vines are rooted in chalky soil, creating a wide variety of aromas in the wine. Chanson is known in this region as the king of Burgundy, and its wines are especially beloved for their richness and diversity.

A fragrant Givry from Domaine Chanson

This Givry is made entirely of Pinot Noir grapes. These are planted in soil rich in limestone and clay, creating a particularly good base for this Givry. The vineyard benefits from abundant sunshine and cool nights. This allows the grapes to develop optimally and be harvested manually in September. After harvesting, the grapes are transported in crates to the cellar, where strict quality control is applied. The Givry matures for an impressive 11 months in oak barrels in the Chanson winery. The result is certainly impressive. Deep ruby ​​red color. Fragrant peonies blend with refreshing notes of ripe raspberries on a hint of spice and licorice. Balanced with a generous texture on the palate. A very pure fruit combination. Juicy with elegant tannins. A refreshing and fruity aftertaste.
