The centuries-old winery Chapoutier
Since 1808, for over 200 years on the slopes of the Rhône Valley, and today in the Roussillon region of France, Australia, and Portugal, the Chapoutier family has delivered world-class winemaking achievements. All their vineyards are cultivated organically or biodynamically to preserve the natural balance and to best emphasize the unique character of each region, combining its soil, climate, and grapes. Today, they have 240 hectares of vineyards in the Rhône Valley. They often focus on a single grape variety, combining the true expression of the grape variety with the area's unique terroirs.
The Grenaches are grown on clay-limestone slopes, while the Cinsaults and Syrahs grow on predominantly sandy soils. The grapes are harvested at full ripeness, at night, to ensure they retain their fruitiness and freshness. The juices are obtained by direct pressing, followed by cold static settling. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature and lasts between two and three weeks. The wine is constantly protected from oxygen to preserve its full aromatic potential.
The smell and taste of Chapoutier Marius Rose
The result is a bright, light pink rosé with occasional bluish hues. The aroma is delightfully floral and seductive. The palate is open with well-balanced acidity. It's pleasantly full-bodied, and the flavor is further enhanced by notes of white flesh. Delicious as an aperitif, but also very suitable with summer dishes.
