Charles Smith Winery is located in Washington State. The winery was founded in 2001 by a former rock musician who traveled extensively. After moving to Walla Walla in 1999, Smith developed a passion for wine and decided to trade his career to become a winemaker. Charles Smith Winery primarily produces wines from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Riesling grapes, and is best known for its Single Vineyard Syrah wines. Each wine has a strong personality, and this Boom Boom certainly lives up to that reputation. The Boom Boom Syah is primarily made from the Syrah grape, but this grape is supplemented with Viognier and Grenache. The grapes are carefully selected from no fewer than five different vineyards in the Columbia Valley. Each vineyard has its own unique soil composition. The grapes are harvested, selected, and crushed entirely by hand. After pressing, the wine is fermented with natural yeasts, contributing to the unique flavor and aromas of the final wine. After fermentation, the wine is aged on its lees to enhance its flavor and texture.
