The family business Chateau Burgozone
Chateau Burgozone is a true family-owned winery located in Bulgaria. The vineyards are situated on the slopes of the Danube River and enjoy an excellent climate. The winery was founded in 2000 with the goal of creating contemporary yet elegant Bulgarian wines, refreshingly fresh and without excessive oak. They own approximately 100 hectares of vineyards and are known for producing high-quality grapes. Burgozone's style can be described as a combination of unique terroir, thanks to the influences of the Danube, and the knowledge and expertise of renowned Bulgarian winemakers.
The grapes are harvested and sorted entirely using the hanging method. In the winery, the grapes are selected again to retain only the finest. After gentle pressing, the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This so-called sur lie fermentation lasts approximately three months. Despite having no contact with oak, the Chardonnay has nevertheless managed to develop complex aromas during fermentation.
The fruity notes of Chateau Burgozone Chardonnay
The Château Burgozone Chardonnay is a lemon yellow with greenish hues. Beautifully balanced aromas burst forth from the glass. Apple, lime, tropical fruit, and white flower notes alternate. The palate is complex and rich with notes of apple, citrus, and tropical fruit. This Chardonnay displays a lovely minerality with a long, pleasant finish. A wonderful wine to pair with fish, poultry, vegetarian dishes, and Italian cuisine.
