The Whispering Angel's big brother, this Rock Angel. Made from the finest selection of Grenache and Vermentino grapes, it's truly the crème de la crème of rosé wines. Chateau d'Esclans knows better than anyone how to craft the very best rosés. And you can taste that in this elegant, fresh rosé with a light spiciness.

The best winery for rosé wines

The idyllic winery is located in La Motte-en-Provence and has been owned by the Lichine family since 2006, who founded the Château d'Eclans winery there. Sacha Lichine, son of a wine celebrity and owner of Château d'Eclans, had only one mission: to produce the very best rosé wines. And he succeeded. It even earned him the title of European Winery of the Year, making him the first rosé winery to receive this title. The vineyards in the beautiful hills of Provence enjoy the best conditions. The 44 hectares of vineyards have vines planted at varying altitudes. This allows for a wide variety of flavors and allows the winemakers to explore the different characteristics. The Château harvests in the morning to preserve the freshness of the fruit. The bunches are sorted by hand and then electronically for a second time. They are then lightly pressed at a low temperature, again to preserve the fresh aromas. The juice is fermented without maceration. Afterwards, the free-run juice and the pressed juice are vinified in separate containers: half in stainless steel vats and the rest in large oak barrels.

The scent of the Chateau D'Esclans Rock Angel Rose

This rosé has a more complex and structured flavor profile than Whispering Angel, elevating it to a more premium realm, offering rosé lovers a larger, richer wine. Rock Angel has a very pale pink color with delicate notes of red fruit and flowers. It is pleasant and tonic on the palate. We recommend uncorking this cuvée in its youth and serving it with a simple dish like a summer salad.
