A unique red wine deserves a unique look, at least that's what the Château de Caravettes winery believes. Château de Caravettes is part of the large and well-known Vignobles Vellas estate, which is well-known in the Languedoc wine region. It produces elegant red and white wines, each with its own unique character and style. Furthermore, the winemaker believes the bottle's appearance should reflect the wine's quality and style. This is certainly true with this red wine from Château de Caravettes. Pure, honest, and stylish—just like the bottle's appearance.

The old vineyard of Chateau De Caravettes

The vineyards for this Château de Caravettes are located in the Languedoc wine region, specifically in Murles. This is where the three different grape varieties for this red wine grow. It's made up of 50% Syrah, 35% Grenache, and 15% Mourvèdre, which is clearly visible on the label. All the vineyards are nestled among numerous forests that influence the harvest. This allows the sun to shine freely, and the forests protect the bunches from strong winds. The grape varieties are grown with great respect for nature, and we taste that in the pure style of this Château de Caravettes. In the Languedoc, the harvest begins very early in the morning, just as the grapes are ripe. Each bunch is hand-selected and harvested to guarantee the purity of this red wine. Well, that's perfect!

Wood aging for the Chateau De Caravettes Languedoc

After harvest, this red wine is aged entirely in oak barrels for at least twelve months. This creates a robust wine, with considerable depth and power in both aroma and flavor. As soon as we uncork the Château de Caravettes bottle, we immediately smell abundant black fruit with a light spiciness. In the glass, it transforms into a deep purple with a reddish sheen. Beautiful aromas burst from the glass, reminding us of blackberries and cherries, along with vanilla, black licorice, licorice, and spices. On the palate, it delivers fine tannins, a rich aroma of blackberries and cherries, and a touch of light spice. The finish offers the characteristic softness and roundness of Château de Caravettes.
