The special vineyard Chateau de Haute Serre

Chateau de Haute Serre is a vineyard with a rich history and a remarkable story. The Georges Vigouroux estate purchased the vineyard, but at the time, it was completely neglected and overgrown. Juniper and oak trees had to be removed to prevent the vines from becoming diseased. All in all, it took two years before the vineyard was ready for planting. This was in 1973, after which the estate underwent a massive transformation. But the soil was finally ready, and the finest Malbec vines were planted. The hard work paid off, and now beautiful wines are produced here.

At an altitude of 300 meters, the vines thrive on the vineyard's historic slopes. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed, gently pressed, and then transferred to stainless steel tanks. Temperature-controlled fermentation follows, allowing the wine to retain its fruity character. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks to further develop its aromas and flavors.
The elegant character of Chateau de Haute Serre Lucter
The result is a ruby-red wine with aromas of fresh fruit, blackberries, and blackcurrants on the nose. These notes are complemented by hints of violets, giving this wine an elegant aroma. The palate boasts a balanced structure and refreshing notes. The fruit also comes through beautifully, but is enhanced by spicy notes that add depth. The finish is equally impressive, with a perfect balance between fruity and spicy nuances.
