Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) is the grandmaster, the king of French viticulture. That's the best way to describe the winery, which gained fame with a number of top wines that sometimes sell for over three thousand euros. This is reserved for only the very best winemakers with the right vineyards and locations. But Domaines Barons de Rothschild wanted to produce more wines and gradually acquired several estates in their beloved Bordeaux. In 1984, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) purchased the vineyard, a 23-hectare estate spread across the three communes of Casseuil, Caudrot, and Sainte-Foy-La-Longue in the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation, 50 km from Bordeaux.

The old vineyard of Chateau Paradis Casseuil

Château Paradis Casseuil takes its name from the official name of the main vine parcel, "Vignes du Paradis," and the name of the commune of Casseuil. We don't know when or why these vines became associated with paradise, but when we taste them, they are indeed paradise. So, yes, we think the name shouldn't be changed. The vines are composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The soil is clay-limestone in Caudrot and Sainte-Foy, and clay-gravel in Casseuil. The average age of the vines is 35 years; the vineyard is managed by the Château Rieussec team using traditional Bordeaux methods.

Full and very powerful this red wine Paradis Casseuil

This red wine, called Château Paradis Casseuil, is a wine you'll never forget. A beautiful, classic wine steeped in ancient traditions. The wine is partially aged in oak barrels for at least eleven months, giving it its full aroma and flavor. It begins with a beautiful red color that sparkles in the glass. All our senses are stimulated, and we smell a powerful aroma of blackcurrant fruit, spicy notes, grilled almonds, and subtle toasted aromas. The palate boasts powerful yet well-integrated tannins, good acidity, and pleasant toasted notes, abundant blackcurrant fruit, and a touch of pepper.
