This box is a rarity never before seen. The finest Bordeaux wines have been brought together in a single box, where you can view all the top wines at a glance. It's the icing on the cake for the new Cru Bourgeois classification, which has been valid since the 2018 vintage and is reevaluated every five years. The Cru Bourgeois is divided into three classifications, with the Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel being the highest. This class has been awarded to only 14 Chateaux. In this exclusive box, you'll find a bottle of Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel from each Chateaux.
The French wines from the Cru Bourgeois
Every bottle in this case is a collector's item. It's rare for all the wineries of such a high caliber to collaborate on this scale. So you're holding something truly unique. Each bottle represents the sophisticated, classic style for which Bordeaux wines are known.
Château Arnauld wine
This Cru Bourgeois hails from the Haut-Médoc. Thanks to strong craftsmanship and tireless dedication, Château Arnauld's wines have reached exceptional heights. Thanks to its 18 months of oak aging, Château Arnauld is a feast of rich fruit, including mulberries, blueberries, and blackberries. The knowledgeable wine connoisseur will be delighted by hints of gingerbread.
Château Belle-Vue wine
Not to be confused with its namesake wine from Saint-Émilion, Château Belle-Vue hails from the Haut-Médoc and is an excellent blend of five classic grape varieties that create a distinct Bordeaux wine flavor.
Château Cambon La Pelouse wine
Just outside the borders of the illustrious Margaux region lie the plots of Château Cambon La Pelouse. This wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, giving the flavors of blackcurrant and cherry a dominant presence. The finish is characteristic, with toasted oak and fragrant vanilla.
Château Charmail
A 17th-century estate still run by the same family. The Trevey de Charmail family's plots border St. Estephe. Château Charmail wine is a centuries-old recipe of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. This gives Château Charmail a slightly fuller, riper aroma with rich notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, herbs, and tobacco.
Château d'Agassac
A Haut-Médoc blend featuring the three classic Bordeaux grape varieties. With a red fruit-dominated aroma, Château d'Agassac is a truly exceptional wine. The palate is rich in pepper and oak, complemented by notes of red and black cherries.
Château d'Arsac
Château d'Arsac is an estate of over 100 hectares, a unique feature in the sought-after Bordeaux region. The estates are largely located in the Margaux region, giving the Cabernet Sauvignon a dominant presence. It's a flavor explosion of blackcurrant and tobacco, truly living up to the Margaux name.
Château de Malleret
A Haut-Médoc wine that James Suckling loves. Its profound bouquet is striking. Besides striking notes of blackberry, black cherry, and blueberry, the sophisticated wine drinker can sip Château de Malleret all evening long: menthol, dark chocolate, and blossoms are discernible.
Château du Taillan
A Haut Médoc Cru Bourgeois that focuses more on fruit. You can certainly taste oak and vanilla, but dark fruit notes like blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum dominate.
Château le Boscq wine
Château le Boscq is a cru from Saint-Estephe and part of the renowned Dourthe family. Once again, the Cabernet Sauvignon takes center stage, but this wine truly stands out. Bursting with black fruit, the most striking features are the generous cedarwood and fragrant Mediterranean herbs.
Château Le Crock wine
Chateau Le Crock is a classic from Saint-Estèphe, a beloved village in the Médoc. A refined blend of various authentic grape varieties, it boasts a rich bouquet of vanilla, cherry, spice, and tobacco.
Château Lestage
A bit of an oddity. While oak-based Medoc wines are primarily in the spotlight due to their high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, here the Merlot grape accounts for the lion's share of the wine. Consequently, there's much more red fruit, but oak is also present in abundance. Château Lestage boasts a remarkably consistent quality that few other wineries can match.
Château Lilian-Ladouys wine
Besides Château Le Crock, Lilian Ladouys is another high-flyer from Saint-Estephe. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, and Petit Verdot are exceptionally good at bringing out the best in each other. The flavor of Château Lilian-Ladouys is dominated by a palette of dark chocolate, coffee beans, fresh blackberries, and a hint of pepper.
Château Malescasse
From a relatively young vineyard, it was purchased in 2012 by the current owner, who renovated the entire estate. And with success: within ten years, Château Malescasse holds a Cru Bourgeois. The wine is a profusion of blueberries and black cherries with subtle hints of spice and toasted oak.
Château Paveil de Luze
Last but not least, Château Paveil de Luze is one of two Margaux wines in this exclusive box. A true sensation for the true Bordeaux fan. The wine is fragrant and exuberant, with delicate notes of truffles, cedarwood, and blueberries.
