Elegance, vibrancy, and grandeur. These are the key words for the Lorgeril family's centuries-old château. Thanks to their extensive wine expertise, they consistently capture these essence in every bottle. Quality is paramount, and with the beloved wines from the Les Terrasses series, you'll always find the perfect wine for the terrace.
The 340 hectares of vineyards of Comtes de Lorgeril
The de Lorgeril family's history goes back many centuries, and since 1620 they have lived at the château in the small village of Pennautier in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Their priority has always been the wines, which are therefore highly prized. The tenth generation, now at the helm, took over and expanded the company in 1987. They own a total of 340 hectares of vineyards in the finest regions of southern France. These are generally located on the higher hills, allowing the grapes to receive a little more coolness in the warm Mediterranean climate. The wines must be authentic, accurately reflect the terroir, and, above all, exude grandeur, freshness, and elegance.
Only the very best grapes are carefully harvested when the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are at their peak ripeness. In the winery, they are rigorously selected so that only the finest grapes are pressed into the final juice. After fermentation and the necessary rest, this robust wine can be bottled and enjoyed.
The aroma and taste of Comtes de Lorgeril Cabernet Sauvignon Les Terrasses
The result is a beautiful red wine with purple hues in the glass. As soon as we pour this Cabernet Sauvignon Les Terrasses, we are immediately struck by a powerful nose. We note aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry with a hint of boxwood and ivy. The palate has good structure with light tannins. The taste concludes with a long and powerful finish. An excellent wine to pair with meat dishes and pasta.
