Bodegas Valdemar is a family-owned winery whose origins date back to 1889. The current owner, Jesus Martinez Bujanda, who runs the winery with his children, Ana and Carlos, began construction of the current cellars in 1982. The grapes come from the Alto de Cantabria vineyard, situated at a certain altitude. Here, the very best Virua grapes are hand-picked and carefully fermented in new French oak barrels. Finally, this top-quality wine is aged for another three to four months in oak barrels. Here, this white Rioja develops into a strong, powerful white wine.
