The Timeless Standard Needle is the original all-round needle for Coravin Timeless systems and the logical replacement when your current needle wears out. Its fine stainless steel construction glides smoothly through natural and agglomerated cork, allowing you to pour wine without actually opening the bottle.
The Standard Needle was developed as the most versatile needle within the Timeless system, combining a comfortable pour rate with a careful passage through the cork.

Standard pour rate: A 150 ml glass is poured in an average of 25–29 seconds. This makes the needle a great balance between speed and a controlled passage through the cork.

Pour wine without removing the cork: The needle goes through the cork, after which wine is poured through the needle and the space left in the bottle is filled by argon. As soon as you remove the needle, a suitable natural or agglomerated cork can reseal itself.

Suitable for regular use: The Standard Needle is also included as standard with many Coravin Timeless systems, making it the trusted choice for most bottles and daily pouring moments.

Not compatible with: Coravin Timeless Eleven and Coravin Pivot systems. These use a different technology and require different parts.
Check the bottom part of the needle that goes through the cork. When the dark non-stick coating starts to wear off and the silver stainless steel becomes visible, it is time to replace the needle.
You can easily screw a new Standard Needle onto the Timeless system. The needle also comes with a needle cleaning tool that you can use to remove any blockages.
