In 1970, Bodega Coto Mayor was founded in Rioja by a group of winegrowers with a single goal: to produce the finest Rioja wine at a top price. With this in mind, they started this collaborative bodega, and it proved a path to success. The wines were acclaimed and won numerous international wine awards, which was inevitable, as the cooperative winegrowers had beautiful vineyards.
