The winery
Damilano is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Barolo, founded in 1890. While the estate enjoys global fame for its powerful Nebbiolo wines, this Langhe Arneis demonstrates its ability to bring finesse to Piedmontese whites as well. Damilano's style is characterized by precision and purity, always true to the character of the grape and the region.
Vinification
The wine is made from 100% Arneis , a grape native to the Roero hills of Piedmont. This grape is known for its fresh and aromatic character, with plenty of tension and vibrancy in the wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed. Fermentation and aging take place entirely in stainless steel tanks, ensuring the pure fruit aromas and crisp acidity are optimally preserved.
Volume 2024
The 2024 harvest in Piedmont is considered excellent . The combination of sunny days and cool nights created a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. For white grapes like Arneis, this results in a wine with an expressive aroma, lively acidity, and elegant structure. A vintage that is already a pleasure to drink and is ideally suited for enjoying young.
Food pairing
The Damilano Langhe Arneis 2024 is an ideal wine to pair with light dishes. Think vitello tonnato, a fresh salad with goat cheese, or grilled vegetables. It also pairs beautifully with shellfish such as oysters and mussels. Thanks to its clean style and refined acidity, it also makes an excellent accompaniment to dishes featuring white asparagus or risotto.
