This Delas Viognier is a fantastic glass of wine. The grapes come primarily from vineyards in the southern Drôme region. Here, the soil is rich in limestone and clay, giving this Delas Viognier its unique characteristics. Quality is always paramount at Delas, and they prove it again with this wonderfully fresh Viognier.
 The top vineyards of Delas
The Delas winery was founded in 1835 by Delas Freres. In the 1960s, Delas Frères was one of the leading wineries in the Rhône, with its own vineyards in Hermitage, Cornas, Côte Rôtie, and Condrieu. Today, Delas Freres owns the top vineyards. The steep granite slopes provide optimal growing conditions. Here, the grapes ripen perfectly, resulting in high-quality wines. The wine comes from vineyards purchased in 2006. It exhibits the perfect balance between tannic structure and aromatic complexity.

Typically, the grapes are harvested at night to take advantage of the cooler temperatures during barreling. After entering the cellar, the grapes are pressed and stored in stainless steel tanks for twenty-four hours under refrigeration. Fermentation takes place at a maximum temperature of twenty-four degrees Celsius. To preserve the wine's fresh and fruity character, it does not undergo lactic fermentation. They are stored in stainless steel tanks until bottling, which takes place after a light clarification and filtration, ensuring the wine's stability. Only the finest grapes are selected and used to make this wine. Only the finest juice is good enough.

An intense, bright color with a golden hue. The nose reveals the grape variety's distinctive aromas, with apricots, peaches, exotic fruits, and preserved citrus. The palate is both soft and fresh, finishing with a hint of dried fruit. A good pairing with cold meats, fish dishes, asparagus, and artichokes.
